How it works
TrustProfit turns selling an ecommerce store into a clear, six-step path, from listing your Shopify or WooCommerce brand to closing through escrow. Here is the whole journey.
1. List your store
Create a free listing for your Shopify or WooCommerce store in a couple of minutes. You can list publicly under your brand, or anonymously, with a deterministic verified-… handle masks your real name and domain while you test the market. Listing costs nothing; see pricing for the full fee picture.
2. Verify your revenue with MerchantFlow
Connect your store through the MerchantFlow verification handshake. It proves you control the underlying Shopify or WooCommerce account and flips your listing from self-reported to verified: live revenue, orders, AOV, and month-over-month change then import directly from your platform. Read exactly how that works in our methodology.
3. Get discovered on the leaderboard
Your store appears on a public revenue leaderboard, ranked alongside comparable brands. Verified listings carry a badge and refresh on a twice-daily schedule, so serious buyers can find you by revenue, platform, and category without you running an outbound sale process.
4. Receive offers
Buyers open your listing and submit a non-binding offer, which starts a private message thread with you. You stay in control: review the buyer, counter, or decline. Nothing about your identity is revealed yet for anonymous listings.
5. Sign an NDA and reveal identity
When you and a buyer want to go deeper, both parties execute an NDA. Only then do your identity, domain, and full profit-and-loss detail unlock, and only for that specific buyer. This keeps sensitive numbers private until there is genuine intent on both sides.
6. Close through escrow and transfer the assets
Agreed deals move through Escrow.com. Funds are held safely while store assets are transferred, and money only releases once both sides confirm the handover. No assets or funds change hands outside of escrow.
